"Relaxing Getaway"

"Exactly as describe on the website. From the inviting decor, well supplied kitchen, to the outdoor gas BBQ, it's all there. Everything is kept in near new condition. We rented bikes to explore Ocean Beach for an additional charge. We had a couple of request upon our arrival....within an hour everything was resolived for us. For a pet Friendly property, it is well maintained inside and out. We had our car, but there was little need to use it. The cliffs and small beach areas are very accessable with steps and walkways. Wednesday nights on Newport road, Farmers Market is a fun community event. Don't eat, they have lots of food and the chocolate is to die for. We would recommend the Blue Heron Cottages to anyone for an inexpensive relaxing getaway. "

"Our Stay in Ocean Beach"

We had a very short stay at the Cottage in Ocean Beach but while we were there, it made us feel right at home. The size of the cottage was perfect enough for 4 people and the location was absolutely the BEST! We did not rent a car and that worked out perfectly because everything that we wanted to do was literally a few blocks away. The locals made us feel right at home, the yard was cozy, and we enjoyed sitting on the patio furniture at night.

We will definitely come back and stay in this very same cottage again!

"Great Area, Clean and Safe"

I loved the area! Great walking and running around this neighborhood. The cleanliness of the house was perfect and the parking was not bad at all.
The house gets hot during the summer afternoon and does not have A/C. I had my dog so I had a bit of a concern leaving her. We increased the number of fans and opened windows and it worked out fine.
There is a great restaurant at Voltaire and Bacon called 3rd Street Corner Cafe. I would totally recommend it.
I will stay again.

Our two months stay at Blue Heron Cottage was comfortable, relaxing and cozy. Steps from beautiful Sunset Cliffs and beach, a short walk to the eclectic charm of Ocean Beach shops and restaurants, Farmers Market on Wednesday and a multitude of friendly "locals" that engaged us in conversation every day gave us a reason to return. Adrienne, our "concierge" was attentive and caring regarding our comfort and needs during our stay. The grounds are exceptional and spacious, warm and sunny with lots of relaxing chaises and outdoor lounging areas. The interior of the cottage having recently been refurbished was fresh and stylish. This one definitely rates a "Oscar" in our book. We will be back!
